This logo is the unofficial proposal for the cultural association “Floreat” created during a contest which has not been banned anymore. The logo concept has a stylised background that resumes the cultural and geographical image of the city: the two most representing monuments and its important landscape, which gives the name of “Città Giardino” and “Città dei sette Laghi”.
The typographic classic font and its salmon-deep red colours give the logo a sophisticate and professional look. The embellishment of the first letter is a sober and elegant way to remind the blooming message of the name “Floreat”, without appearing heavy. The same flower is repeated over the city to demonstrate the strength of the cultural association to flourish and live the city. The same meaning is accentuated by the color choice: a deep red of intellectual passion.
It was reused in new look for the book cover of the “G. Garibaldi” primary school’s project “Itinerario della storia di Varese”. An educational project about the history of the city. The red palette of colours were changed in green one to give more freshness and fun. The colours of the name turn to red and white, a clear reference to the official flag of the city Varese. Green-white-red also remind the Italian flag in its national educational contest like the school.
The floral embellishment is repeated in the lower part of the cover to frame the “Città Giardino”.
