The eighth edition of Varese Design Week investigates the Design Connections and repercussions that arise by artificial intelligence in all its many facets.
Meetings, exhibitions and human talks for human people in the city center with a focus on new technologies. There are five exclusive locations this year: the Office on display by Max Laudadio – TV personality and testimonial of the event, Gran Cinema Vittoria, Villa Panza, Lyceum, ERCO Showroom, Base Blu and Cinema Nuovo.
I was again involved in the creation of the new visual identity, inspired by the high tech mood and preferring a linear and impactful design. A visual in light blue/purple tones accompanies all the locations with totems, posters, folders, placeholders and badges.
I paid particular attention to the preparation of the interactive exhibition “Computer design_between history and artificial intelligence“, curated by the arch. Cristian Visentin, in collaboration with the ass. Varese Retrocomputing and the ass. Lavori in Corso.
Set up on the mezzanine of the historic Gran Cinema Vittoria, eleven iconic computers that trace the evolution of design are distributed in eight stations – some of them interactive – supported by illustrative panels that depict their image created by artificial intelligence (AI). A connection between past and future through the most innovative tool that increasingly permeates different areas of our lives.
A special thanks to the President Nicoletta Romano, the Vice President Silvana Barbato and the Curator of the exhibition arch. Cristian Visentin.
