Bìu Lab is a laboratory of life, research and co-creation, born from Claudia Raisi – artisan architect – and Mariano Pitzolu – artistic blacksmith. A couple in life and in creative activity, who together merge their experiences creating objects in copper and steel that through their vital vibration trigger a relationship of resonance with everything around them. From interior design objects to site-specific installations for shows, installations and exhibitions, all projects have their matrix in nature and sacred geometry, a set of mathematical, metaphysical and aesthetic principles that are found in all the matter of our universe. “Bìu” is a Sardinian word that means ‘alive’ and in its simplicity it contains their entire vision.
My task was to immerse myself in their profound reality to find what was already in their minds: a visual identity with geometric shapes closely connected to nature.
The choice fell effortlessly on the symbol of a geometric flower with the color of the lake, a few steps from their home in Varese.
Color palette: Pantone “deep lake” as primary and shades of copper and pink, as secondary colors.
In the creation of the website, the mood also recalls their claim: “there is no difference between what is outside and what is inside.” The photos are set at sunset, a moment of greatest connection between nature and geometry. The roundness of the Genesa Crystal blends with the warm tones, enhancing its softness and naturalness.
